Archive

One of the ING archives needed to be handed over to ING Leeuwarden. The archive was created using Opentext Documentum suite. There was a need to quickly acquire functional and technical knowledge of the archive. Maintenance was quickly handed over. The archive Suite and stack was lagging in lifecycle management. An old version of the Oracle database was used. The version was running out of extended support. After successfully migrating to Oracle 12, the remaining LCM issues could be tackled. Tasked with defining and implementing retention policies based on defined minimum standards and existing regulation (AVG/GDPR). To facilitate implementation analyzing and resolving data quality issues became an important part of my activities. This required a thorough knowledge of the chains of applications and functionalities storing data in the archive.

Security

It was decided to setup an in-house security team. This team was to be tasked with secure code review and penetration testing. After 1 year a solid squad was formed and activities were handed over to an experienced security tester.

TIBCO EMS

The various departments have adopted the central components of the Tibco Middleware stack. The EMS Enterprise Service Busses and the Domain Service Busses were running behind on lifecycle management (LCM). Tasked with cleaning up the service busses and implementing proper LCM.

Connectivity

ING decided to move away from its legacy z/OS mainframe platform to a x86 platform centered around Tibco middleware. During this period I was tasked with various short term assignments, all the while providing technical and functional support for the z/OS environments. Ensuring connectivity between z/OS mainframe and x86 platform. Designing binding bridges between EMS and MQ. Installing and configuring DB2 data replication using Infosphere CDC. SPOC for DR, Fixed and Code Red changes.
